White cheeked pintail
Visitor to the lakes this autumn is a Bahamian or White Cheeked Pintail.
This beautiful little duck should be living on brackish water in an estuary, preferably in Argentina or the Bahamas. He or she, both sexes look very similar, is a 'dabbling duck' feeding on vegetable matter in shallow silty water.
