Robin Cooper's articles on wild life in London Colney were a regular feature of the magazine. His contributons titled 'Colney Nature Watch' were well researched, gave an insight into the wild life that could be found in the village and were always illustrated with his distinctive drawings which were a hallmark of the article. Robin suffered form cancer during his last years but he still continued to write and illustrate his articles. I think he enjoyed writing them as much as we enjoyed reading them. Always eager to spread the word that we are lucky to live in a village that is teaming with wild life and all we need do is look carefully at the world around us, just as he had done throughout his life. I always looked forward to his articles because I knew that I would be informed and interested for the few minutes it took me to read what he had to say. Concise, interesting and entertaining. I have therefore included his articles here in case you didn't managed to read them when they came out in the magazine.
He also wrote a leaflet on the nature reserve in London Colney that surrounds the lakes. Use this as a nature guide the next time you are walking around London Colney. Click on the list in the side menu for the leaflet or any of the articles.
